Billy Mays died tragically in his Florida home on Sunday morning at only 50 years old. What a devastating week for the entertainment world! We just lost Farah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Ed McMahon, and now Billy Mays. You either loved him or hated the guy but you can't deny that he was a legendary pitchmen. He was truly one of a kind. His death came only a few hours after he said he was hit on the head from a piece of luggage. Mays landing on a US Airways flight was a rough one after the front tires of the plane blew out after landing at the Tampa Bay airport.

On Saturday night, Mays told his wife he didn't feel well when he went to bed. His death is eerily similar to the actress Natasha Richardson's death. In Dec, after falling on a bunny hill at a Quebec ski resort, she passed away hours later from a brain hemorrhage. It's very possible this may have happened to Billy Mays. Others speculate it may be an underlying heart condition. He is survived by his wife, a 3-year-old daughter and a stepson in his 20s.

Billy Mays got his start selling [tags]as-seen-on-tv[/tags]products on the Atlantic City boardwalk before becoming the face and voice of numerous commercials and infomercials."Hi. Billy Mays here," he would begin, before showing off his latest cleaning gadget or product. His in-your-face pitches won Mays plenty of fans and for his infomercials on a wide variety of products. At his personal appearances people would line up for autographed color glossies. Strangers would even stop him in airports to chat about the products. It is still yet to be determined the true cause of his death. Autopsies are being performed this afternoon.
