Auto Cool is meant to save us from those sweltering hot vehicles. I personally hate being burnt by the most unlikely surfaces. Those seat belt buckles are the worst! Summer is officially here and it sure would be nice if there was a device that could help keep our vehicles nice and cool throughout the day.
By the way, I suspect a similar product called Auto Vent is actually the older version of Auto Cool. They both look exactly the same! I don't know if it's a knock off product or the same product with a different name but they both had similar test results.
The Auto Cool runs on solar power. Makers claim that it vents out the hot stale air while drawing in fresh cool air. The [tags]auto cool[/tags]instructions are fairly straight forward. Choose a window that's receiving the most sun, roll down the window about 4 to 5 inches and clip the Auto Cool onto the window. The solar panel is on the inside of the car facing toward the outside. Next, you need to size the weather stripping to fit on top of the window along side Auto Cool. Now when you roll it up it's suppose to form a super tight seal.
Issues With Auto Cool
- It doesn't move enough air volume to do any good.
- If it isn’t directly in the sun or there are clouds in the sky, it won't even turn on.
- The final test revealed a 1/2 degree change in the actual interior temperature.
The Auto Cool is without a doubt, a total dud! Save your 20 bucks and maybe invest in one of those shades for your windshields. At least you'll get your money's worth! Now I'm sure you've been curious about how to fill your car seat crack with Drop Stop. It's perfect for keeping all those distracting personal items right beside you while driving.
