EZ Combs are basically two hair combs tied together with jewel covered bands that stretch. What we wouldn’t give for a hair accessory that could give us an attractive style instantly! I usually have no luck with hair clips. That’s why I’m skeptical about these EZ Combs. I find that these sorts of hair accessories work better for people with finer hair. Can we really achieve hairstyle perfection with EZ combs?
EZ Comb Claims
- Create popular hair styles in seconds.
- Specially designed dual combs with 10 durable bands that stretch and hold your hair.
- Beaded bungee bands stretch wide and then release back in form for a perfect fit every time.
- Comfortable to wear and holds securely. The combs are contoured to fit perfectly the contour of your head.
- Work beautifully on any hair type - thin, thick, curly or straight hair.
- Measures approx. 3″H x 5-1/4″W (unstretched).
- Online this product is selling at 4 for $10 and they offer you a instructional DVD (All together those shipping fees make it closer to $20)
Advantages
- Comes with a handy little printed hairstyle guide. They also have a good instructional video on all the hair styles you can achieve. You don’t have to get the DVD. There’s an instructional video at the link below.
- Holds hair very snug unless you have thin hair.
- Doesn’t pull your hair when you take the comb out.
- It doesn’t give you a headache like you would get wearing other hair accessories.
- Most ladies thought the were combs were quite attractive.
- The EZ Combs worked pretty well once you get used to handling them. It does take some practice to perfect the technique.
- You are able to lie down comfortably with the EZ Combs in your hair.
Disadvantages
- Made of cheap materials and there are some reports of their EZ Comb breaking when stretching it out. The instructional video tells you not to be afraid to stretch out the comb although one lady mentioned that the elastic broke when she did that.
- The elastic part stretches but doesn’t bounce back to it’s original shape and may not last long.
- I’m not sure how popular some of these hair styles are. In my opinion it’s a tad gaudy looking and not everyone likes this type of style.
- It doesn’t hold a lot of hair. If you have thick hair the up do hairstyles are harder to achieve. It’s hard to fit all that hair under the comb and hold it all securely. Although there are enough hair styles that you can actually create with thick hair.
- If you have super fine hair it seems to fall out easily.

There’s a similar product called the Hair Zing. Here’s a series of helpful videos at this YouTube Channel link. You can find EZ Combs in stores like Walgreens or Bed Bath and Beyond for $10.
EZ Combs Final Thoughts -
It seems like the ladies that have hair that’s not overly thick or thin are having the most success with these combs. Here is a look at another popular, hyped up hair product called the Instyler…

I have thick hair, so the EZ Combs tend to pop off and out of my hair after only a few minutes. They’re okay, but don’t stay in the hair. At least, not for me.

I am 17 and have EZ combs. i LOVE them. Theyre so cute and easy to use. my hair is very thick but they stay in just fine. i can stretch them very far but i mean youd have to be pretty dumb to break them. you can feel when they wont stretch any further. i would definitely recommend them.

I like the EZ combs. I have a little hard time doing updos or making it look absolutely flawless but I haven’t watched the instruction video at all either. I can do the basic style well and I have thick hair. It stays in all day for me, is quick, and looks better than a clunky hair clip. I actually think it’s less guady looking. Also, I had the problem in the comercial of sitting back in a chair, especially in the car, with a clunky hair clip because it pokes the back of your neck. No problem now.

i have bought ez combs and didn`t know how to do them so i went online and watch how to do it as i got them from a discounted store so there was no dvd or instructions but once i sow how i now know and i have thick hair and they work fine but the best thing i find to do is brush hair then just give a shake to it then it sticks in better
and they are comfy to wear better than those chunky hair clips and its true u can lean back on these ez combs as i lie down once with it in and didn`t hurt.
