Meaningful Beauty Has Mysterious French Melon Ingredient

January 29th, 2009 · 55 Comments

Cindy Crawford and Meaningful BeautyMeaningful Beauty is based on a skin care formulation developed by Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh, a French skin care expert.  Cindy Crawford is of course, a natural beauty who claims that she has never had any Botox or facial procedures done. I was a bit curious if this product was all hype or not since Cindy has put her name and reputation on the line.

What’s included in the Meaningful Beauty Kit

  • Skin Cleanser
  • Day moisturizer
  • Night moisturizer
  • Eye cream
  • Facial Masque
  • Décolleté and neck crème
  • Glowing Serum

There is also an auto ship policy where they send you product every 90 days and bill your card $30.00 ever 30 days.

Claims

  • Decreases the appearance of pore size
  • Prevents premature aging
  • Smooth visible appearance of wrinkles
  • Reduce skin redness and roughness
  • SPF 20 protection
  • The Mysterious French Melon Ingredient

Mysterious Ingredients

Meaningful Beauty has French Melon as an ingredientThe site is very scarce on details.  All they seem to keep talk about is this mysterious rare French melon.  Dr. Sebagh believes that some melons can defend our skin from the breakdown of collagen, which happens with age. The Meaningful Beauty site describes this ingredient as

A rare French melon that stayed fresh and firm much longer than similar varieties. This melon contained a powerful “first generation” antioxidant (superoxide dismutase), which preliminary studies suggest, prevents the formation of new free radical species. By utilizing this first generation antioxidant, Meaningful Beauty’s formulas are designed to help protect your skin against the visible signs of aging in a remarkable way.

So the key active ingredient in this product is a powerful antioxidant that defends against the breakdown of collagen. OK many skin care products do this!! Apparently it is common to extract antioxidants from various fruits and use them as a leading source of antioxidants in many skin care products. By the way, antioxidants protect against cell oxidization, which is a leading cause of skin cell death.  So I’m wondering why should Cindy’s product be so much better than the rest? Because she says so? And the clever little story about the French melon? I’m sure it does work to anti oxidize the skin than this product. The problem is that the melon is all that is special about the product.

Good Points

  • Meaningful Beauty Product LineProduct comes with a 60 day money back guarantee.
  • Some ladies, (but not all) swear buy this product and couldn’t live without it. They find their skin softer, less oily, nice glow, fewer breakouts.

Bad Points

  • There are many products on the market that act as an antioxidant to protect the skin. So I honestly wouldn’t have to order this specific product for just that purpose.
  • You have to be willing to pay $30 every month for continued shipment of your product.
  • Although the “rare” French melon extract is highly touted, it appears pretty far down on the ingredient list.
  • Multi-step beauty care regimen is a bit time consuming.
  • Product can only be ordered from their shipment plan.
  • Some reports of shipments being slow.
  • Many customers had issues with customer service people having bad attitudes.
  • Some ladies tried to cancel their order and then customer service tried to talk them into buying more.
  • Some ladies had the following effects on their skin. Feeling like they had burned, raw, tight skin or major skin break outs. So it doesn’t work for all women. It’s just the same as in my Proactiv review.

Some confusion with shipment and billing description on the site

On the Meaningful Beauty order page I can see where this may cause some confusion. They state that you first receive an introductory kit which is a 30 day supply along with 2 free bonus gifts, all for $30 plus shipping and handling.

Then after 30 days, you’ll receive our regular 3 month supply of Meaningful Beauty every 90 days at the guaranteed low price of just $29.95 a month plus $8.95 s&h per shipment.

So you actually get billed the $29.95 30 days after your initial purchase. There is also a 60 day money back guarantee. So I can see how ladies could assume you could try the product for 60 days without getting billed. I called Guthy Renker and they mentioned that if you want to stop the auto ship you should call in before the first 30 days to cancel you’re order.

By the way, it looks like Meaningful Beauty is also being sold on eBay. If you are concerned about any recurring billing issues but still want to give it a try, you can purchase it there.  Also I thought it might be nice if you’re out of only one or two items you don’t have to buy the whole kit. Just buy what you need as you run out.

Meaningful Beauty’s story is intriguing and we all want to have skin like Cindy. After all, you’d think that she’d know a thing or two about skin care. But once you get past the great story, I’m not sure if Meaningful Beauty products really hold up to scrutiny. I’d definitely want to know more about the product ingredients and not just the mysterious French melon.

I have having the biggest breakouts ever, so big my husband though I fell and hurt myself. I too am skeptical about the “mysterious french melon” I’ve been trying to find out about by searching the web and no such thing found.

not sure about Cindy’s product - sorry.

  • 2 Theresa // Mar 26, 2009 at 9:12 pm

Rio… Are you actually getting the breakouts from using Meaningful Beauty?

  • 3 Lisa // Apr 3, 2009 at 10:25 am

I didn’t like that I called in to take advantage of the so called “special offer’ but they would not honor it unless they enroll you in an auto charge to your credit card. The commercial makes it seem as though you can just try it without the hassle of calling in to stop the program. Based on what others wrote about bad customer service, I decided against it!

  • 4 Theresa // Apr 4, 2009 at 3:22 pm

Thanks Lisa… I know…those special offers are really confusing. I actually called the number and they mentioned that you have up to 60 days after receiving the product to try it. Then if you don’t like it in that time period you can cancel the order by calling in to the office before the 60 days is up.

The way I understand it is that you’re basically charged $30 plus s/h for the first order than billed $30 a month after that. So you could basically be charged $60 plus $10 for shipping and handling within the first 2 months before you get a chance to cancel the order. If the first order takes a month to get to your door, you’re already charged for the second month!

And to add to the confusion, if you don’t want the “special offer” they will charge you more than the $30 plus s/h. Hmmm I didn’t realize that…Very confusing offer, that’s for sure!

  • 5 Janine // Apr 16, 2009 at 8:56 am

I did some research online and found out that this “mysterious” and “rare” french melon is the Charentais cantaloupe.

  • 6 Theresa // Apr 16, 2009 at 11:26 pm

    Thanks for the update Janine!

  • 7 Nena // May 4, 2009 at 1:15 pm

If the product was so great, you could order the 30 day supply without the addition of auto-ship and women would be flocking back to order more! The auto-ship is a dead give away that this product is no better than any other…they suck you in and then it’s hard to get out.

Does anyone really think Cindy’s home is furnished with items from a mass-marketed retail furniture store? I think not…I sort of lost respect for her when she allowed her name to be attached to that cheap imported furniture. It was a sell-out on her part, so I have no faith that she even uses this facial product.

  • 8 Theresa // May 4, 2009 at 8:54 pm

Nena, I totally agree with you. If it’s a good product you’d never have to force an automatic enrollment on them. Plus I’m always wary of gimmicky type stories of mysterious ingredients. If it’s a good product the news spreads word of mouth.

Actually I’m not if you’ve heard of this “Udo’s Oil”. They have it at the health food store and that’s done way more good for my skin than any skin care product out there. It’s got Omega 3,6 and 9 that your body needs but it does wonder for my skin! Not to mention all the other health benefits it has. It’s quite inexpensive…$15 a bottle that lasts about 1 1/2 months.

  • 9 Kimburly // May 23, 2009 at 2:32 am

I am as confused as everyone, however, do you guys realize all the other sites I have looked at tonight have a “free trial” offer that only lasts 7 to 14 days, starts on the day you order even though you won’t get it for 2 to 4 days, and they all cost 79 bucks a month!!!! I was blown away that these companies actually think people in this economy can afford $80.00 a month!!!! And these products have “clinical trial proof,” etc. I’m going to try the Udo’s Oil. At least I can try it and not get ripped off and stuck in a contract.

  • 10 Theresa // May 25, 2009 at 4:59 pm

I guess they figure we’re made of money or something! I’ve tried so many different face cleansers, toners and creams over the years. The one I finally settled one that works just as well or even better than advertised brands are found at my local health food store. Just a regular toner and cleanser.

The face cream I think is absolutely AMAZING is called Colostrum Rejuvenating Cream from the company Sequel based in Vancouver, Canada. If you see it at a health food store please pick it up! You won’t regret it. It’s not just cream but you can actually feel it work deep in your skin. I don’t like promoting stuff but if it really works I just want to let everyone know that all that marketing crap on TV is overpriced hype. Makes me mad that everyone’s paying for marketing and all those glamorous models.

Also I actually ran out of the Colostrum Cream and have just been taking that Udo’s Oil and my skin is still feeling and looking pretty good I must say! Brag brag… ;)

I forgot to mention also about that Udo’s Oil… You need to keep it refrigerated and it only has a shelf life of 2 months, so it’s better to buy a smaller bottle. It’s not meant to to heated up, just take two tablespoons straight from the bottle after a meal. You won’t regret the Udo’s Oil though it has many other health benefits as well….not just for skin.

  • 12 Theresa // Jun 9, 2009 at 10:26 pm

That’s so good to hear Marlene! Thanks for the tips! Nature provides us with so many natural cures and remedies…it’s really amazing isn’t it? I used to drink red wine all the time but it always stains my teeth so bad. I’ll have to try the whipped eggs though! :-)

  • 13 Beverly // Jun 11, 2009 at 3:49 pm

Isn’t it interesting the dermatologist’s skin promoting Cindy’s product doesn’t, in my view, look so hot…also, if a product is effective, there wouldn’t be any need to trap us into charging your credit card every 30 days. Spare us the glamorized gimics Cindy.

  • 14 Theresa // Jun 14, 2009 at 12:33 am

Haha! Yeah you better have good skin if your promoting a skin care line. They are pretty good at marketing it though…you get all this product for $20! You instantly want to pick up the phone because of the “irresistible offer”. That’s a classic marketing technique.

  • 15 A guy :) // Jun 20, 2009 at 9:24 pm

I like the Safepay option with Bank of America credit cards. Create a temp card with just the max limit you want, and use that number. That way even if it is recurring, they can’t charge your card, because that card number is only good for let’s say $30, unless you choose to increase the limit.

  • 16 Theresa // Jun 20, 2009 at 10:23 pm

Ahhhh yesss! Great idea !! Get all that product for the low introductory price and it should last you a good 6 months. I was thinking, you could also do that with a prepaid Master Card. Just put money down on it when you need to buy something. Any other time, they can’t charge something on it. Hey, at least your protected!

  • 17 Olivia // Jul 15, 2009 at 8:08 pm

Good to see that I’m not the only one having trouble with Cindy Crawford’s skin cream. I had rashes all over and my eyes puffed up and was itchy for weeks. It took almost a month to clear up the mess that the creams and lotions left.
To make the matters worse, they have not yet reimbursed me for the first sample that I have returned plus they are sending me bills for the 90 days supply and they are sending my account for collection and giving me a bad credit.

One thing for sure, I’ll never buy any thing by Cindy Crawford again. She’s a beautiful lady but she’s just in it for the money after all.

  • 18 okay // Aug 6, 2009 at 6:16 pm

they just cancelled my order without any reason. kinda glad they did after reading this!

  • 19 Laura // Aug 9, 2009 at 12:40 pm

    So true you guys!
If Cindy’s products were as good as she says they are, she wouldn’t try to scam us with this deceptive offer. Automatic billing? No, thank you.

  • 20 Carmen // Aug 9, 2009 at 12:47 pm

It is a shame that a wealthy, well known personality such as Cindy would give her name for this type of scam. If she really wants to help woman look great, create an offer with no strings attach. Buy it once, use it, like it, buy some more. Not this BS of billing our credit cards every month. That my friends is a SCAM. What a shame.

  • 21 megan // Aug 20, 2009 at 11:53 pm

has anyone commenting actually tried this product??

  • 22 Jojo // Aug 23, 2009 at 11:04 am

Hey– just wanted to point one thing out. I have dealt with Gunthy-Renker before, ordering the Slim in 6 series (they caught me home after having a baby, and spoke to my then fleeting feelings about my body shape), and it was a nightmare to get out of the autoship, and get my refund. Even when you say, “No, thanks” to the offer, they often sign you up for it regardless. I think as a general rule of thumb anytime you see an infomercial, especially one by this company…you need to just turn off the TV!

Also, wanted to mention if you do not have a local health food store, meaning you live in a rural area like we do, the best price for natural and skin care products that contain some organic ingredients, including the oil mentioned above is by visiting http://www.vitacost.com
My fav line for my sensitive skin, is by Derma E. I agree taking an omega 3 supplement daily is the best way to see great skin from the inside out!

Ladies we are beautiful on our own, but when we need a little enhancement, informercials are NOT the answer!!!

  • 23 Kristi // Aug 26, 2009 at 9:25 am

I love Meaningful Beauty but I buy it from eBay when I need so I do not have to mess with automatic payments. Meaningful Beauty never did deliver my last order so I gave up on them. The products make my skin look dewy and glowing though.

  • 24 mare // Aug 30, 2009 at 3:35 pm

My skin looks great using this product. I even like it better than Dr. Perricone’s products, and it costs less!

I hope they don’t automatically charge me $30 every month, even if I stretch out the shipments. Can this be the way it works?? Dr. P. charges a fixed amount for each shipment, billed over two months. I usually make a “90 day supply” last 4-5 months. It’s almost September and I still haven’t opened the one from early July, so I changed the ship date of my next order. I won’t be charged until it ships.

I’m willing to stay with Cindy to save a little money, but ONLY if they charge by the shipment and not by the month… PS My husband, who notices very little! — complimented my skin without being asked to “notice.” Guess it’s really working. Glad I’m not allergic to the melon.

  • 25 Jamie // Sep 10, 2009 at 10:30 am

AWFUL! I have read so many terrible reviews about this company, so I decided to not only call and cancel my order and the recurring charges, but I also canceled my credit card and got a new number. Well…low and behold last week, I received a new kit from them and I was laughing as I thought, I just got this for free, they can’t charge my old card. Well after further review of the invoice, they had illegally obtained my new credit card number!!! Totally scary! I called right away and explained how they were stealing from me and they illegally obtained my cc #, etc… The woman was less than competent, so I asked to speak with a supervisor. She got on the phone immediately after I was put on hold and told me she would refund my money right away. I again asked how they got my new cc#, her explanation was…the bank called and gave them my info! NO BANK would ever do that. So I once again had to cancel my card and get a new one. If this happens again, I will press charges!!!
Buyer beware!!!!! Shame on Cindy Crawford!

  • 26 Traci // Sep 11, 2009 at 10:44 pm

Charentais is actually the French name for cantelope. There is no such thing as a charentais cantelope.

  • 27 Theresa // Sep 12, 2009 at 8:19 pm

Jamie that’s really awful! What in the world is going on with these companies? And to actually find your new cc charged up is even scarier! Thanks for letting us all know. The unfortunate thing is Cindy probably doesn’t even know what’s going on since Guthy Renker is in charge of all the marketing and billing.

  • 28 Natalie // Sep 14, 2009 at 10:55 am

There is a variety of canteloupe called charentais, though Im not sure if that is the variety used in this product. I would think that eating it would give similar benefits. Canteloupes are not comercially grown in the US, so you would have to grow your own. FYI what you get in the grocery store is not a canteloupe it is a muskmelon(called canteloup b/c who wants to eat a muskmelon?). There is a difference.

  • 29 Bethany // Sep 17, 2009 at 4:29 pm

I think this is a great product. The fact that they don’t list all ingredients for whatever purpose does not mean it does not work or that it is a fake product. In reality any skin regimen helps, try it, I did, you will not be disappointed. I also think Cindy endorsed this product in good faith.

  • 30 Sue // Sep 21, 2009 at 2:42 pm

I have been working in the Cosmetics industry for 22 years and have tried everything from Chanel to Mac. I ordered this trial offer from Meaningful Beauty and was pleasantly surprised. It really works, I have noticed a big difference in my pore size as well as the clarity in my skin. I am going to continue to order and hopefully those of you who actually try the product notice a difference as well. The Glowing Serum does really work. Try it and see for yourself.

  • 31 Armelia // Oct 2, 2009 at 11:09 am

I was seriously thinking about trying it but after reading all the reviews, I don’t think i want to risk my credit card being abused and without my knowledge in the process. The product really had me wanting to try it but the financial risk is too much, i think.

  • 32 Annette // Oct 4, 2009 at 3:07 pm

I ordered the introductory offer and while on the phone, they tried to sell me several other products which I did not buy. I want to try the product, not be committed to being charged $30./month before even putting the product on my skin. The sales pitch is a total turn-off.

  • 33 peaches // Oct 10, 2009 at 9:47 pm

guys i just order that product. i am very confused by the reviews, should i cancel?

  • 34 Theresa // Oct 11, 2009 at 12:00 am

You’re right it is a little confusing! Sorry about that…The main concern is with billing issues. Ladies have tried to cancel the order yet they’re credit card continues to be billed with the auto pay option. If you try the product and you don’t care for it just be sure you phone to the Guthy Renker customer service as soon as you can and tell them you want to cancel and and that you’ll be sending it back.

Customer service says that you have 60 days to return the product for a refund but the thing is that they will bill you for another shipment after 30 days of ordering the product unless you phone in and specifically cancel it. I would still watch my credit card for charges though even after you do this just to be sure.

Also if you’ve bought the product and have signed up for other additional special offers and decide you don’t want to be charged for them down the line you’ll have to phone each one up separately to cancel. Hope this helps!

  • 35 Necel // Oct 13, 2009 at 10:45 am

If you don’t want the Guthy Renker autoship nonsense, buy off eBay.

Be careful about thinking you can set a limit on your virtual credit card so they can’t bill you for autoship orders. I did this with another product and they shipped it anyway and started harassing me for payment… AND I had to pay to return it.

  • 36 Michele // Oct 18, 2009 at 7:33 am

Maybe I’m the outlier here… but, I did order the product… loved it… I have dry skin, was a sun worshiper for years.. lots of little wrinkles.. .add to that I’m a freckle faced red head… I lost my job and had to cancel my recurring shipments… boo… along with several other belt tightening moves… when I called to cancel, they not only put a stop to the shipments and charges, they credited me for a charge that was a few days old on a shipment that I had not received yet, and said to keep the bottles. When I can afford the “little luxuries” again, I will be back on the website ordering this product again as fast as my fingers will let me… it does, for me, work as advertised. Its sad that so many have had a negative experience. Good Luck!

  • 37 Nicole // Nov 3, 2009 at 8:00 am

I personally think part of everyone’s issue is that number one, they want a miracle cure - not realistic and number two, in some cases, they expect to suddenly look like Cindy Crawford!!!
I use the product, I like the product, period. Everyone has different skin types, different likes and dislikes, but to attack Cindy Crawford’s reputation because the product does not meet your standards is insane. If I complained about every person who put a product out there that did not do FOR ME what I expected it to do, I would be spending a lot of time complaining. As one of the bloggers named Megan asked “has anyone commenting actually tried the product” and received no response since most are complaining about the order process, or the shipping requirements rather than actually discussing the benefits or lack thereof of the product.

  • 38 Theresa // Nov 4, 2009 at 1:06 am

Nicole, thanks for your comment. You’re right I think I may have got a little carried away with some of my comments. I never meant to attack Cindy…just wanted to point out that you have to take a closer look at the ingredients than be wowed by just a french melon” ingredient and a fancy story. In the end I guess it’s all just marketing. Also I’ve heard of so many billing issues I wanted to bring that up but you’re right all skin care products work for some and not others and it’s impossible to know if it’s right for you until you actually try them.

  • 39 April // Nov 11, 2009 at 6:50 pm

I tried Meaningful Beauty. I have sensetive skin. These products burned when using them. It says the burning feeling will go away, but it didn’t for me. It started leaving redness on my face from the burning. I have since returned my “60 day money back guarentee” ago. Just prior to returning my first product order I automatically received the “90 day” supply. I didn’t ask for this order. My card was charged. It has been 2 months and I am still trying to get a straight answer as to why I haven’t received my credit for these product returns.

  • 40 kathy // Nov 19, 2009 at 11:17 am

Just talked to Joseph and Ashley with meaningful beauty. He told me it takes 8 weeks or more to get a refund due to high volume of pkgs. moving in and out of the warehouse. He also said this is not unusual due to high volume…hmm I guess we’ll see.

  • 41 Theresa // Nov 21, 2009 at 5:29 pm

    Thanks for the update Kathy!

  • 42 Laura // Nov 22, 2009 at 9:50 pm

I was interested in Meaningful Beauty and did some research. People should understand upfront that Cindy admits that she’s been using Botox and vitamin injections for years to maintain her pretty face. But still, one needs good products and they’re surprisingly hard to find. My skin breaks out easily and I don’t tolerate perfumes well (achoo!), so I’ve had a lot of failed attempts to find good products. I ordered the kit and had luck with only one product.. the “Maintenance 2, Night Fluide”. I love it and the scent with this (and the entire line) is very light. Sadly, both the eye cream and the Spf 20 day fluid burned like heck, so I can’t use them. I called GuthyRenker and had no trouble customizing my next order. So, I’ll get the Night Fluide, the glowing serum and the moisturizing masque, $54 for a 3 month supply. I also changed my shipping date and frequency of shipping. This was very easy, no hassles at all.

If you have sensitive skin, MB is probably not for you. But, if you’ve searched all over for a really good night time moisturizer, you might have luck here and you can customize your order so that you only get the products that you want. Good luck!

  • 43 Theresa // Nov 22, 2009 at 11:22 pm

Great suggestion….Thanks so much Laura. :)

  • 44 Jennifer // Dec 4, 2009 at 6:06 pm

Have some patience! I’m on week two of the product and I notice a great change in my skin. The first week and a 1/2 was rough with redness, burning and severe dryness. The material states that it can take 2-4 weeks to notice changes and you can experience dryness.

Don’t forget that you can customize your kit and slow down shipments if you’re not using it all up! Remember, you won’t look just like Cindy b/c she has had professional work done.

  • 45 joan // Dec 21, 2009 at 6:51 am

Avoid getting your credit card hit over and over with unwanted payments you never authorized.

What I do is pick up one of those store bought Visa or American Express Cards, then if you dont like the product just dont put money on it for a bit this will automatically cancel you out of their system.

  • 46 michelle // Jan 4, 2010 at 1:14 pm

i just ordered, but have not received product yet (will update). i was given the option to either have my card debited the monthly amount of approx. $30.00 or charge the entire amount at the time of shipping the auto-order of 3 months supply (approx. $90). i requested the 1x charge when shipped to avoid confusion and give me time to sample the product before committing.

yes, they try the up-sale and it’s a little sneaky. for example, they sell you items by the monthly charge instead of what the product costs (i.e. instead of saying you’d pay $90.00 for a 3 month supply, they say you pay $30 per month). However, when I asked them to break it down, they were happy to b/c I personally like to just pay for the product like I’m at a mall and not like a cable bill.

what i still don’t understand is whether i will continue to get the 2 “free” items in my recurring order. i guess i’ll figure that out with my order, which i was told i could customize in the future.

  • 47 Cita // Jan 7, 2010 at 10:18 am

I’m 27 years old and have been using meaningful beauty for a year now and I love the product. I have never had an issue with my billing. They let you know with your newly arrived order when the next bill will be charged. I am confident that if I keep using the product it will keep my skin looking youthful for years tocome. Also, I adjust my order for what I need, if I didn’t use all my eye cream up and receive another with my next order, I hop on the site and modify it to drop the eye cream and add the neck cream this time, no increase in cost for my budget. I love it!

  • 48 pam m // Jan 25, 2010 at 5:24 pm

I used meaningful beauty for about 6 months and i could tell a difference in my skin. I actually had several compliments on my skin and i am 42 yrs old. There is one thing they mention on the product that bothered me and it said “do not use any other product with this unless suggested by a doctor”. Could this cause problems in the future? I cancelled my order and i am trying to find a good product that i can purchase without ordering. (it is a hassle)

Pam, I bet they probably write that “do not use any other product with this unless suggested by a doctor” just for legal reasons only to cover their butt. I wanted to mention though if you are looking for really excellent skin care products, I’ve used this line for many years now…..called SeneDerm by SeneGence. Very strange name but it really works wonders. The thing I like about it is that it renews the cells not just cleansing. And also if you tend to have dry skin in the winter, the cleanser actually helps to moisture the skin. It won’t dry it out and you’ll also see really excellent results! They have the eye cream and facial moisturizer as well. The moisturizer literally almost lasted me 6 months and the cleanser almost a year! You just need a tiny little bit…

You can get it directly from someone who sells it in your area or buy into the business and get the product at wholesale prices. I choose to just buy them directly from a lady in town (Calgary). The cleanser is a 3 in one cleaner, exfoliator and toner. The only thing is that I like to use a separate toner from the health food store. Rose petal and witch hazel. It feels really nice on the skin and leaves it feeling soft and clean.

Anyways I don’t mean to be a giant billboard :)…I mentioned earlier in my comments that I used to use Colostrum Rejuvenating Cream from the company Sequel based in Vancouver. Absolutely amazing stuff. For some reason I can’t seem to get it at the health store. I keep asking but they can never get it in. Obviously it’s a pretty good product. Anyway, I hope that helps you!

Ok…. I was thinking about buying this product now I am not sure what to do. I want to know if it really works or not I don’t want to spend all this money in the long run if it is a rip off. There is alot of comments saying it does not work and there are some that say it does work mmmm… very confusing. You would think since Cindy Crawfords name it on it. That it would be a great product. I guess I will just have to do more research.

HORRIBLE product. I purchased this product only two weeks ago. I noticed after only 1 week of using it that my skin was burning. The next day I was peeling and my face had dry patches all over! I have no allergies and I have never had a reaction to any beauty product. The worst part was dealing with their customer service! They refused to cancel my next shipment even though it wasn’t due to be mailed for 3 weeks! Worse they were rude about the whole thing! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! HORRIBLE!!!

Unfortunately I was not proactive enough to do some research prior to handing over my credit card!! I’m going to call tomorrow and cancel. I don’t have time to deal with autoship issues and credit card refunds! From all the sites I’ve been too, there are overwhelmingly more negative reviews - I’ll take that as a hint! Cross you fingers for me!

I’ve been using this line for about 2 years, and I’m totally shocked by the reviews of bad service and burning products. I have an entirely positive experience with both the products and the service. I have at least 4 items at a time, on auto-ship, and I pay about $40, then $24 the next month, then $24 the 3rd month, then the shipment comes. It always lasts through the 3 months, an you can change products before it ships if you wan to. Also, importantly, I’ve found the products to be really great. I use the cleanser, the #1 Day Lotion, the #2 Night Lotion, and the Masque all the time, nearly every day (except when I’m too lazy!), and I love it. I’m 46 and my skin is great with this line. I really love the Masque and the Night Lotion especially. For the last several months, I’ve been using the eye serum too, and I’ve never had any of them burn.

I have no agenda with this…just sharing my experience. Sounds like mixed results for others, but I personally love the stuff.

Does anyone get the fact that Cindy Crawford of Meaningful Beauty has had numerous plastic surgery! I saw it on the internet. How can she sponsor a skin care line? Her face will look good as long as she has stuff done to her face. I feel we have been double crossed by Cindy Crawford. Hype is not the word for it!!!!

I recieved this product from a friend who was unable to use it due to skin irritation. I’ve only used it one day so far and I love it! I noticed the fine lines on my forehead diminish overnight and my skin feels very healthy. I’m going to give the trial size the full 30 days before I decide to purchase the product myself and I may go to eBay after reading this but the product seems to work for me, no burning or exessive drying here. My advise is to try it for your self, just becuase someone elses skin reacts badly doesn’t mean yours will.
