Whats Included in the Billy Bootcamp Series?

Advantages
- Billy is extremely motivating and gives thorough instruction on how to do the moves.
- Well rounded workout for the whole body.
- It focuses on both strength training and cardio.
- The resistance bands really help to tone up legs and arms.
- You will get your heart rate up and work up a good sweat.
- You will actually burn a lot of calories because you have constant resistance with the bands.
Disadvantages
- Workout is extremely difficult.
- There are high impact exercises with a lot of squats and push ups.
Hints - Don’t be discouraged if you can’t keep up or finish the basic workout. It’s quite normal to have such muscle fatigue that you can’t continue. Think of it like you are building up endurance in every single workout.
Whenever Billy uses the resistance bands for the legs you might find that they get in the way.
In that case don’t worry about the bands and just do the kicks.
The Workouts in General - All the DVDs include the following- A lot of motivation and encouragement but no military style yelling. Billy concentrates on helpful advice on how to reach your fitness goals. All DVDs have a military bootcamp theme with a warm-up, workout and cool down.
Basic Training - There is some calisthenic training that you would find in a military training class. There are a lot of movements such as push ups, jumping jacks and jogging on the spot. This series toughens you up and makes you strong. There’s a lot of side kicking or throwing punches with the resistance bands.
As you can see from the video review there are a lot of moves where you work out your abs from a standing position. This DVD finishes off with floor exercises. The moves are designed to be easy on your back. Billy really goes into a lot of detail about the correct way to do the ab workout.
Ultimate Bootcamp - Be prepared for this DVD because it’s the hardest workout in the series and extremely advanced. Overall the steps are very basic and repetitive. Twenty minutes of the workout are devoted to the resistance bands. The workout focuses on the arms, thighs and buttocks then abs.
Weight Loss Claim - They claim that you are guaranteed to see weight loss in one week. The thing is you must follow the 1400 calorie diet that comes with the [tags]Billy Bootcamp[/tags]DVDs. Most people who have done these workouts are more impressed with their toned muscles than weight loss. The fact is you will be building more muscle which everyone knows weighs more than fat. If you end up concentrating only on weight loss you may get discouraged because you may look and feel better yet end up staying the same weight.
Billy Bootcamp Final Thoughts - The Billy Bootcamp is very physically challenging. Unless you are really strong willed I wouldn’t recommended these DVDs if you are seriously out of shape.
