Consumer Review of the Porta Book Laptop Stand

by Theresa on October 4, 2009 · 0 comments

Porta Book at first glance looks to me like it's a book holder as opposed to a laptop holder. I did a little research on the web and what do you know... Portabook is selling book and music stands! Now this is a great idea for any reader but will it hold a laptop well and how comfortable is it to use?

Porta Book consumer test

Good for your posture
Easy to store and carry with you

Other Consumer Comments

  • The rubber band may get in the way of your hands and touch pad of your laptop.
  • If your computer has slots or ports in the front, the raised edge of the Portabook will prevent you from using them.
  • Even though it says it helps air circulation to your laptop there are no holes at the back to let the air in.
  • It's made from cheap plastic and is very flimsy. The total weight is less than a pound and may not hold up heavier laptops.
  • It costs $32 after shipping and if you get the free wifinder gift then it's an extra $6.95 s/h for that.

Porta Book is not the best answer for a laptop stand. If want to keep your laptop safe, you're better off without it. I think this company should stay in the business of book and music stands only!
