You only need to pour a dime sized polish onto the head lamp. It normally should be completely clear when you wipe it off. As you can see in the video, it becomes an almost yellowish tinge and only slightly lighter.
What I'm seeing is that it does work for some people if you do a little trial and error with the product. Here are some success stories.
Bostonvrs - It worked real good, it took about 10 times of "step 1" to get it good, and I found out that letting the protectant dry 30 second before buffing with a clean terrycloth to be the best approach.
A to Z - 1st Use clean water and cloth to clean the headlights as much as you can to clear out the dirt.
2nd Let it dry for about 30 seconds or so and then follow the instructions to the T. Do not put too much of the white liquid (i think its step 1) since it will not get you the perfect results.
3rd Use a clean microfiber cloth and wipe out the excess liquid on the glass. It worked for me, hopefully it works for you!
Many others who bought the lens restorer kit mentioned that it made no difference at all. So overall if you want to take a change on a $17 product versus spending $100 for headlight restoration, you may want to try giving Fast Brite a try.
