What Odor made its big debut on The Pitchmen show. I'm sure none of us will forget the scene where the inventor proves that his product is safe by spraying it on his skin and even in his mouth! Billy Mays of course has to do a little taste test of the product himself. What Odor's biggest claim to fame is that this spray eliminates odors and is also biodegradable, non-toxic and does not contain artificial fragrances or phthalates. So it's going to be safe for your family and pets. In this What Odor review, Dan did a really thorough test of What Odor on fabrics and commented on its odd smell.
What Odors Eliminates the Following Odors
Safe on carpet upholstery and fabric
Pet kennels and bedding
Cat litter boxes
Small animal litter boxes
Urine or fecal accidents
Vomit accidents
Odor from a skunk
Air conditioning filters and vents and fans
Sink drains and garbage cans
Sports equipment
Smelly shoes
You get two 16 oz bottles and two 6 oz travel size bottles if you order off the main What Odor site. I'm not sure if it's now in US stores but you can check your local Walgreens, Bed Bath and Beyond or Walmart store to see if they have it in stock.
Dan took four pieces of cloth and thoroughly saturated them all with cigar smoke. He took them all and laundered them separately. The first with laundry detergent, the second with vodka, and the third with water. The fourth was thoroughly sprayed with What Odor and washed. The overall results came out with the one washed with laundry detergent to be completely free of cigar smell. The least effective was the What Odor product. So basically for fabrics throwing an item in the washer is much more effective. Dan also commented that the smell of the product reminded him of a funeral home. Nice! So you may or may not like the [tags]what odor[/tags]smell and remember that the instructions mention that you have saturate the fabric with What Odor for it to work.
Overall Results
- The biggest advantage of using What Odor is that you don't have to worry about what you spray it on because it's non toxic and safe on all surfaces.

- It does what it promises and eliminates the odor without using masking agents to just cover it up.
- The only problem is when it comes to really set in or really strong odors. It may take a few applications or it may not work at all.
- I wouldn't use What Odor on expensive couches or carpets because I wouldn't want the residual What Odor smell on them. I'd rather use a professional carpet cleaner.
- It's nice that the What Odor site stands by their product with a 30 day money back guarantee less postage and handling charges. You'll still have to pay to ship it back.
What Odor would best be used only on fabric surfaces that you can't wash such as sports equipment or sneakers and all those smelly areas around the house that you'd rather just spray down instead of washing. Of course there's other all natural products that can eliminate odors just as well. They just don't get the media coverage that this product does.
