Big City Slider with spokesman Billy Mays claims that there's a mini burger sensation sweeping the nation. He goes on yelling to us that now with the Big City Slider Station there will be "no more squishin and squashin"..."no more flippin and floppin." Cool down there Billy Mays. Do we really need this odd looking contraption to make mini burgers after all?
How Does it Work?
Big City Slider is basically a custom grill for making “sliders” which are small hamburgers. It has a five-section grill pan that has an upper piece that fits over and lower pan. You press all five pieces of meat down at the same time. This forms the meat into the perfect size and shape for a small burger. The upper piece is also supposed to act as a heat source for the top of the burger so you don't have to flip them.
The Verdict on Big City Slider
Important Update - I hate to spoil all the fun... Big City Slider looks so wonderful in the review but there's a big problem with this pan. There's been many reports of the pans finishing flaking off. Very dangerous to you and your families health. Here's one of several negative comments.
Do NOT Buy! This product is DANGEROUS!! This product is NOT made with QUALITY in mind. It is cheap and potentially dangerous to your health. The silver (paint, chemical, non-stick coating) comes off on the top of the burgers! I would NOT eat them - threw them in the trash and wasted money on good ground beef! But, I wouldn't take a chance on getting Cancer from this cheaply made product!!! People LISTEN, just make a round ball of beef in your hand, then press it down with the bottom of a flat glass or cup, then cook them in a good pan you already have (one that won't leak dangerous chemicals into your food) or grill them. Then go buy the little buns, and there you go, you have your sliders!! Big City Slider only wants to make lots of money -- so they use the cheapest manufacturing and quality possible (probably in CHINA) and their profit comes at the cost of YOUR HEALTH!!! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!
Big City Slider is a danger to your health...I really don't care what benefit if any this pan has. Does anyone with this [tags]big-city-slider[/tags] pan have the same experience with the coating coming off like that?
