Bottle Tops Seal Canned Drinks but Are They Really Worth It?

Bottle Tops are basically recloseable tops for canned drinks. Isn't it amazing how they can take the most mundane products and make them all new and exciting on those infomercials? The idea is simple enough. It's supposed to keep those carbonated drinks fresh and prevent an opened can drink from leaking or spilling. Let's see how well they work!

Bottle Tops review

Bottle Tops come in six exciting colors!

Advantages

  • It really does keeps your carbonated canned drink fresher longer.
  • The variety of colors in the set helps you tell your drinks apart.
  • Can be washed and reused.

Disadvantages

  • When turned upside down the can with bottle tops leaks a lot!
  • Doesn't fit every can - Only the standard 12 oz ones.
  • The [tags]bottle tops[/tags]mouth piece is slightly than a normal drink bottle ."Typical soda bottles have a smaller diameter cap." This might pose a problem for kids.
  • Getting the top off once your done also takes a little practice.
  • Expensive to buy online and the shipping is more than the product. It's $10 plus $7 s/h for the first 6 Bottle Tops than an addition $7 for the "Free Six".

Below, Robert over at Eleven Alive News gives us a demonstration of Bottle Tops.

Bottle Tops do have the benefit of sealing a can and preventing a drink from going flat but are they really necessary? If we all bought bottled drinks instead of canned ones I guess we'd avoid these problems all together! Here's another kitchen gadget that can come in handy if you're a garlic lover...It's the Grater Plater review!

I can’t get the Bottle Top brand to fit ANY can. However, the Snapp Capp brand works great and fits every soda and beer can that won’t fit the Bottle Top brand.
