Funny TV Commercials are pretty entertaining. It's about time to add another to my infomercial humour section. I find the best ones are the gadgets invented by Ron Popeil. They're pretty hard to forget. Before karaoke became a fad all across America… what did we do for entertainment? Well there was Mr Microphone. Who else could sell over one million units of such an ridiculous gadget? No way! One million people watched an infomercial with some guy trying to pick up a chick over Mr. Microphone. Then decided.. yeah I just gotta get me one of those!
Remember this Classic Pick Up Line?
“Hey good lookin’, we’ll be back to pick you up later!”
And that cool kid in the convertible has got a Mr. Microphone! Look out!
I actually remember this funny tv commercial when I was a kid. Ahhh I kind of miss the 70’s sometimes. Just like any other annoying infomercial it used to run around Christmas time. All it was, was a microphone case with a radio transmitter. All you do is turn it to the nearest radio station and your voice is broadcasted over it like a loud speaker.
What makes Mr Microphone a Funny TV Commercial?
It’s all in the way that they portray it as such a useful product.
You can practice your singing, roller skate and walk while broadcasting your opinions and look very cool at social gatherings. Oh yess.. .most importantly you can use it to pick up babes.
Ron Popeil invented some real amusing gadgetry. This one[tags]funny-tv-commercial[/tags] came somewhere before the amaaazing Ronco Jar and Bottle Cutter. Some where in the 1980s Mr Microphone was doomed. Do you want to pick one of these up? Well unfortunately you can’t… I’m sorry! Like all infomercial products cheap knockoffs flooded the market. Poor Ron couldn’t stop them even with ensuing court battles.
Funny TV Commercials and Ron Popeil, go hand in hand. What would we do without em? Their definitely a good laugh…Don’t ya just miss the 70’s sometimes!
