I found the hilarious spoof diet infomercial created by of all people, wrestler Buddy Rose. There is whole story surrounding why he created it in the first place. Buddy Rose never gained huge fame in wrestling but he had a lengthy career. Early on Rose had a fairly muscular physique but later as age and food consumption caught up with Rose, he incorporated it into his wrestling character.
The Blow Away Diet happened during Buddy Roses’ last WWF run. Buddy Rose and Jimmy Hart came up with the infomercial themselves and it was designed to make fun of Rose. They discussed this little skit for a while, and then pitched it to their boss Vince McMahon who actually loved the idea.
The WWF (now WWE) featured Playboy Buddy Rose and his diet plan in a series of vignettes. Rose had fun with the weight jokes and used them to his advantage to build his character.

The spoof infomercial was worth the little bit of self-humiliation Rose mentioned. He made money filming the skit that was comparable to what he earned in some of his main event matches. He was in on the joke, and he never felt like he was exploited. It was memorable because people still talk about the Blow Away Diet even to this very day!
