Eight Great Ideas for Organizing Kids’ Rooms

Organizing kids' rooms is such a huge problem for parents, I've decided to write another post on this subject. Well I kind of cheated and added two really great videos for you! It's one of those days...The first [tags]organizing-kids-rooms[/tags] video is actually quite long but full of useful ideas. It's advice from a professional organizer on organizing a kids room. The second video is really cute. The kids in the video are English and their parents have come up with 4 clever ideas on how to get their kids to help with the household chores, including putting away their toys in record time! I’ve never seen kids get so excited to do their chores!

How To Get Your Kids To Help With the Housework

Kids usually cause the housework, they don't DO housework. You can get kids to realize the importance of tidying up after themselves and helping around the house. Here's some ways to make housework fun for them.

  • Make daily chores into a game and your kids won't even realize they are doing chores!
  • Make a chore a privilege. If you make the chore you are doing look grown-up and exciting, your kids will want to give it a try.
  • Make it a challenge. If you challenge your kids, by pretending you think they can't do something, then they will want to show you otherwise.
  • Make it rewarding. One classic way of getting them to help around the house, is by hiding treats around an untidy room. They can keep the treats if they tidy up properly.

Organizing kids' rooms with reverse psychology, I love it! Hopefully these videos will help get your little ones cleaning up after themselves and helping out mom and dad. Wouldn't that be nice for a change.
