Fun Slides Carpet Skates seem to be remarkably similar to a hobby many kids have...sliding across a hardwood floor in a plain ol pair of socks. Can Carpet Skates be the next new trend in toys? Would kids and adults alike really go for a toy like this? Lets find out from 10 year old Tyler and a News Anchor doing his James Brown impersonation.

Actual Consumer Comments
- Tyler in the video says they are fun for a few minutes but I'm bored of them and wouldn't want them for a birthday present!
- Our kids ages 5, 7 and 9 each tried them and the carpet skates don't seem to go as fast as in the commercial. They quickly got bored with them. I wouldn't recommend these to a friend.
- My 5 year old grandson tried them for 5 minutes and never picked them up again.
- Great concept but poor performance. The kids tried them only once and didn't bother with them again.
- My daughter loved them but wore them for 5 minutes and the strap broke.
- My eight year old used them and I felt that they are a great first step to using roller blades or skates.
- One parent mentioned that they are good for traveling since they pack up flat and you can keep the kids busy while traveling. An easy form of active play.
Fun Slide Carpet Skates are great for kids that don't get bored easily. I'm just thinking that with all the stimulation of all the other toys out there on the market, especially computer games I think this toy would be low on the list of popular kids toys. I could see kids adding little ramps or playing hockey with them. Then they'd have a bit more excitement than just cruising around on a carpet.
