Mini RC Cars or Zero Gravity Micro Cars are an indoor racing car that can take on floors, walls and even ceilings with excellent speed and control. Kids can get together with their friends and race on four different frequencies or channels as they call them. Watch how this car maneuvers on floors and walls.
How Does the Mini RC Car Work?
- There are two different settings. Floor mode with fan off and suction or sticky toy mode for upside down and vertical movement.
- The fan under the car sucks air through the bottom and shoots it out the top. It basically gets pushed on the wall.
- There are a large variety of colors and styles to choose from. I’ve seen videos of larger trucks but have heard from comments that the micros are better and easier to control because of their small size.
What does it come with?
It comes with one rechargeable LiPo battery and 6 “AA” batteries (not included). In the video it mentions its around 13 English lbs which is around $40 US.
Pros
- Easy to Control
- Well constructed
- Can race at high speeds
- Portable and light weight
- Teenagers and kids love it
- Performs like it says and really does go up walls and ceilings
- The controller has left and right trim tabs
- Headlights will start to flash to tell you when to recharge
Cons
- Can only be used indoors
- Works only on flat surfaces
- Doesn’t work on carpet
- Noisy when you have it on wall mode
- You have to stop the car and switch it from floor mode to wall mode
- It takes a lot of wall space to drive it
- The "wow factor" might wear off quickly
- The battery takes 10 min of power for a 30 minute charge
- Requires smooth and bump free walls and floors. For less textured walls it will cling but not drive or drive in spurts. It depends on how textured your wall is. Some walls it won’t cling at all and will fall off. If the texture of the wall is rough, it will drive in spurts or fall off frequently.
Cool Features
The [tags]mini rc car[/tags]headlights (green spots on front of car) serve two purposes. In addition to just looking cool (especially in a darkened room) dimming headlights also alert you that the battery needs charging so you can get the car off the wall or ceiling before it falls.
The 2-Channel infrared controller has trim tabs to help you keep car driving straight. Red light indicates on, green light indicates the car is being charged.
Available at Toys R Us, www.airhogs.com and also on eBay.
Mini RC Cars are really popular among kids and the majority of parents gave this car a great review!
