Valentines Day gifts, cards and traditions weren’t always a part of American tradition. Valentines Day cards were mass produced in the US around 1850. Only in the 1950’s did it become common practice to give a gift along with the card. The most commonly exchanged gifts were of course only men giving women basic gifts like chocolates and roses. If your out gift shopping and wondering what to buy… why not think outside the box? Now you can express your love and affection with these most unusual Valentines Day gifts.
Gift for the Toast Lover
There’s so many ways to say ‘I Love You’. How about embossing the words in your morning toast? What better way to start the day than with slices of hot buttered toast, that proclaim to the world that they’re the one you love the most. All you do is follow these simple instructions.
Simply press it into a slice of bread, pop it in the toaster, and in a matter of moments you’ll have a slice of piping hot toast emblazoned with the immortal words ‘I Love You’.
If that doesn’t earn you major brownie points, I don’t know what will.
Gift for the Environmentally Friendly
How about these romantic Elephant Poop Roses that are made in Thailand? Look how beautiful they are! Your loved one may not want to “stop and smell these roses”. They might not be every girls favorite . The ad states that they are sanitary, eco-friendly and stink-free. They are also a wonderfully green alternative to imported fresh cut roses. No more strain on the environment. Oh I forgot to mention, they are available in assorted colors too. A lovely pink, yellow and red bouquet. The ad mentions that the elephant poop is made into paper and then the paper is made into roses. Hmmm interesting!
Gift for the Snuggler
Whenever your wife or girlfriend needs a little love, all she has to do is snuggle up to her Klong. Klong is designed to give you comfort and security. Its hands are weighted with beans so that they’re always holding you. It sits around your loved ones neck providing her with round-the-clock nurturing, peace, and satisfaction.
I’m not sure if Klong is supposed to creep you out or be your friend. Even the ad is ambiguous. “Klong cannot hear or see you but senses your kindness”. Klong is also packaged in a plastic cylindrical tube that resembles preserved specimens in a laboratory jar. The absence of facial features is so that Klong can provide nurturing, peace and calm without beady eyes judging you.
Valentines Day gifts ought to be creative and fun, don’t you think? I guarantee you that these gifts will make this Valentines Day the most memorable, ever!
